Special departure exclusively for our group, maximum 15 people. Immerse yourself in the fall colors of New England and the Canadian Maritimes: New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton Island and Nova Scotia. We will not just travel through the fiery colors of the New England maple forests, but we will also go further north where the great coniferous forests will offer us another aspect of the North American autumn and then along the wild coasts of the Canadian Maritimes. We will discover the spectacular fauna of these regions: moose, whales, seals, puffins, black bears sailing aboard zodiacs and small boats, paddling in canoes and driving the most scenic roads in minivans. All this without forgetting the most important historical and cultural sites of the region. Finally we will go on the footsteps of the mythical white whale, Moby Dick!


26   September
Our local guide will wait for us at the Halifax airport. Depending on the time of arrival we will immediately leave for the guided tour of the city, we will visit beautifully manicured Halifax Public Gardens, hear the amazing story of the Halifax explosion and learn about the city’s roll in the recovery operations of the Titanic. Then visit the Fairview Lawn Cemetery where many victims of the tragic sinking of the Titanic lie in rest.  Visit Halifax Citadel National Historic Site. This massive star shaped fortification was completed in 1856 and stands high on a hill overlooking downtown. See the kilted 78th Regiment Highlander standing guard and the pageantry of a bygone era.
We will then reach our hotel enjoy the welcome dinner.

27   September
Today enjoy touring along the South Shore. Discover the rustic charm of Peggy’s Cove. This village is quite well known to many artists for its picturesque ocean setting and Peggy’s Cove Light – one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world. Travel on to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Lunenburg, renowned for her fleets of grand Banks’ fishing schooners. Tour its distinctive waterfront with its colorful buildings, hear salty tales of seafaring and rum-running on its working waterfront where you might just catch a glimpse of the Bluenose II.

This morning after breakfast, depart for Cape Breton Island and the village of Baddeck. This afternoon enjoy a visit to the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site.  This museum houses the largest collection photographs, artifacts, and effects to the inventor of the telephone.

29   September
Today experience one of the most stunningly picturesque drives in North America along famous Cabot Trail. Our travels offer jaw-dropping coastal views and picturesque villages and towns. Enjoy a picnic lunch along the trail along with an afternoon private Whale Watching zodiac boat cruise. Different species of whales live in these waters including Fin Whales, Minke Whales, Humpback Whales, Pilot Whales and Dolphins. This cruise will give us the chance to meet other animals as well, quite common are Bald Eagles, Atlantic Puffins and Common Seals, if we are lucky also Grey Seals.

After breakfast, depart for Pictou, NS for our ferry crossing the Northumberland Straights to picturesque Prince Edward Island. Meet your local tour guide for a tour of this picture-perfect Island.  Begin with a tour of Charlottetown – Canada’s Birthplace.
Then tour along the North shore through “Anne’s Land” and PEI National Park viewing the beautiful red sandy beaches, cliffs and pastoral countryside. This drive along the shore is among the most beautiful on the island. Visit the L.M. Montgomery’s Cavendish National Historic Site/Green Gables Heritage Place which commemorates the house and landscape that inspired renowned Canadian author L. M. Montgomery’s famous novel, Anne of Green Gables.

01   October
Following breakfast, Cross the Confederation Bridge, the world’s longest continuous multi-span bridge, and make our way to Fundy National Park and experience a true natural wonder at the Hopewell Rocks on the coast of the Bay of Fundy. At high tide, these rocks appear to be common islands, but at low tide, view this impressive mushroom shaped flowerpot rocks that the relentless tides have carved out of the sandstone.
Arrive to Saint John for a city tour including Reversing falls where twice daily the Bay of Fundy tides force the Saint John River to reverse its flow. Check into the Hampton Inn Saint John hotel and enjoy a savory dinner at one of the cities fine restaurants.

This morning our adventure continues with a visit the picturesque St. Andrews by-the-sea where the quaint charm of this coastal town is sure to captivate. Board a Zodiac Hurricane for another exciting whale watching experience and enjoy the wonders of the Bay of Fundy weaving our way among the bays and channels of the West Isles while enjoying the rugged beauty and diverse bird and marine life surround you. The world’s highest twice-daily tides stir up a bounty of food in local waters, which attracts several species of migratory whales, such as Minke, Fin, Humpbacks and the North Atlantic Right Whale, the rarest whale in the world. In addition, you’ll have an excellent chance of sighting one or more of any of these species on your tour. In addition to the whales, you will likely encounter Harbour Seals, Harbour Porpoises, Atlantic Puffins, Bald Eagles, Razorbill, Black Guillemots and other pelagic sea birds. Later, cross the border into the US and journey to the Bar Harbor.

Following breakfast, check out and continue our journey ‘downeast’ to Mount Desert Island. Once on Mount Desert Island, we’ll visit Acadia National Park for a visit to Cadillac Mountain where the views of Frenchman’s Bay and Porcupine Islands are spectacular to behold. Acadian Boat Tours Puffins, Lighthouses, & Seabirds Cruise Later afternoon, we’ll check into our Bar Harbor hotel before venturing to the charming village of Bar Harbor for some free time to shop and explore before enjoying a traditional Lobsterbake dinner.

04   October
Today we head inland driving trough the autumn colored forests to the Moosehead Lake area for a private Moose Safari canoe experience led by knowledgeable Maine rounded naturalists. On your trip you may see trout jumping, families of loons and ducks, Beaver, Otter, Whitetail deer, Snowshoe Hare, Bobcat, Black Bear and of course, the Majestic Maine Moose! In addition to seeing and learning about Moose and other wildlife, you will also learn some of the interesting history that makes the Moosehead Lake region truly unique.

05   October
This morning, after breakfast the group will be transported to Boston International Airport for our departure for home. If we will have time enought we will visit to the city center.


October 2023 – Meeting with Moby Dick

The island of Nantucket, the legend of Moby Dick, the wild Cape Cod peninsula with the quaint villages and the long sandy beaches lashed by the Atlantic ocean that form the protected area of Cape Code National Seashore are the places we will visit during this intriguing extension.




05  October
This morning, we’ll have an early departure after breakfast and drive south to Cape Cod Massachusetts! Sit back, relax and enjoy the trip. Later this afternoon, we arrive to the Hyannis Harbor.

06  October
This morning embark on a cruise to Nantucket Island. This island fondly known as “The Gray Lady” was once the whaling capitol of the world back in the 1800’s.  Now a popular vacationing spot for the wealthy, Nantucket’s charm is associated with its cobblestone main street, narrow roads, simple Quaker-style homes and handsome houses dating back to the whaling days of the early 19th century.
Enjoy a guided tour of this beautiful island and visit the historic Whaling Museum. Enjoy free time to explore through the many charming shops before returning by ferry back to the mainland.

07  October
Following breakfast, we’ll depart with our tour guide for a fun-filled day touring the lower and outer Cape! Begin touring through the charming seaside village of Chatham with a picture stop at the Chatham Light as we make our way to Provincetown – the tip of the Cape, and spend some time browsing around the downtown waterfront area with all its artistic and eclectic shops before embarking on a highspeed ferry cruise to Boston MA! Have your camera ready as you may see some Whales and sea life on your way!  Once in Boston, the group will be transported to Boston International Airport for our departure for home.
