Silvano Bergamin

He has lived for 40 years in Brianza, in the lands of Parini, but was born in Valmorea (Co), a border country, while his family comes from Treviso province, more precisely from the lands of Giorgione, whose alleged ancestry attributes a certain artistic vein, which tries to express with watercolor and, mostly, with photography.
His first air flight was Milan – Moscow in 1981 that would then take him to Uzbekistan to reach the legendary Samarkand. It is particularly attracted to natural wonders, in every corner of the world, with a preference for deserts: after visiting Sahara, Namib, Atacama, Taklamakan, Badain Jaran, Gobi and Rub al-Khali, he discovered that even the extreme South (Patagonia and Antarctica) and the far North (Greenland, Svalbard, Siberia, Canada and Iceland) can fully satisfy his desire for infinite spaces. He also loves forests and likes to run up and down the mountain slopes, while he doesn’t like the sea, unless it is polar. On his journeys, he drags behind his wife Nicoletta.
