FEBRUARY 2025: THE MANITOBA POLAR BEAR NEWBORN CUBS AND QUEBEC WOLVES

12 – 23 February 2025

FULLY BOOKED

Special departure for 6 people only. Unique exploration of the tundra of Manitoba, Canada, aboard a tracked vehicle, from the comfort of our lodge. This region and the Wapusk National Park are one of the world best polar bear newborn cubs watching destination as females have chosen it to give birth and it hosts the greatest density of dens in the world. Clear nights are often illuminated by the Aurora Borealis, a unique show of lights and colors. February and March are the months when the cubs finally come out of their dens and have their first contacts with the outside world. They often linger in the company of females, intrigued and stimulated by the unknown new environment, they play and roll in the snow. Our local guides are native to the area and have an in-depth knowledge of it and its animals. The days will be spent in search of the wildlife which, in addition to the Polar Bears and their cubs, include Caribou, Ptarmigan, Polar Fox and if we are lucky even Wolves. The latter will instead be the absolute protagonists of the extension to Quebec, where we will stay in the luxurious chalets of the Omega park, from whose panoramic windows we will be able to enjoy the incredible view of the pack of Wolves that inhabit the reserve. The park is home to 500 wild animals: Foxes, Black Bears, Deers and others, but represents a unique worldwide destination for the observation of Wolves with Black, Gray and Arctic Wolves.
