Luca Altieri
I was born in Varese, April 10, 1971. I live in Varese and I work as equipment designer
in a aircraft company. I always had a passion for the infinite spaces, mountains and “extreme” regions, it is very fascinating meet new people and see a way of life different from ours.
As a child, thanks to my parents, I have traveled to many countries, from Scotland to California, the central Anatolia reached by a Fiat 1 900 -ES and trailer tent. My first “solo” trip was in 1990 after graduation: with an Interrail card me and one of my classmate almost reached the North Cape by train.
Since then, I have visited countries such as Iceland, Western Australia, Namibia, Peru (the Andes), Bolivia (the salares and Laguna Colorada), Chile (Atacama Desert), Ladack(called the Little Tibet), Himachal, Alaska, Yukon and Klondike, New Zealand, Mongolia (from Altai up to the Gobi Desert), Wyoming and Montana, Svalbard Islands and the Nentsy people in the Russian Arctic.
Soon I have been attracted by the photography, the camera is my closest companion: the desire to capture images of countries, peoples and situations is very deep.
Each trip I approach, each country I visit, each person I met leave marks in my heart and mind which are with me every day.
