Bernd Rohrmann
I am a retired professor in Environmental Research, lived in Germany & Norway, and since 1993 in Australia. I am a devoted globetrotter since 1962. I almost never travel with tours. For many years I trailed with my partner in Europe, North Africa and the Near East, using a highly equipped 4wd car which included cooking and sleeping amenities. Landscapes, architecture and cultures are the core interests. Since residing in Melbourne, I often use small explorer groups to go to unique remote areas, such as Kamchatka. Eventually visiting Antarctica was a dream. I photograph intensely, and for many of the countries and regions I have travelled to I created picture galleries on my website.
